Coming off a weekend series win against Notre Dame to open ACC play the Miami Hurricanes will begin a four-game road trip this week at Central Florida Wednesday night.

The Miami Hurricanes then travel out of state for the first time this season when they play a three-game series at Duke this weekend. First up is the Miami Hurricanes trip to Orlando.

The Knights enter Wednesday’s game with a 14-3 record. They have a 13 game winning streak after beginning the season 1-3. That includes a two game sweep of a home and home series with previously top ranked Florida. Miami dropped two of three to the Gators in Coral Gables earlier this season.

Central Florida zoomed up the ratings in the RPI with the victories over the Gators last week. They moved from 81st last week to currently being 54th in the RPI. The Knights have not lost a game since February 20.

Miami enters the Wednesday night game in Orlando after winning their ACC Opening series against Notre Dame. The Hurricanes shut out the Fighting Irish 3-0 and 9-0 before dropping the final game of the series 9-5 in ten innings.

After the first weekend of play Miami is tied with Duke and Virginia Tech atop the ACC Coastal at 2-1.

Jeb Bargfeldt pitched another outstanding game in the opener against the Fighting Irish. He went 7.2 innings and allowed five hits, two walks and  struck out five. Cooper Hammond pitched the last 1.1 innings for his first save. Hunter Tackett started in right field and went two for three with two RBIs.
