Miami was 125th out of 129 teams in FBS in third-down conversion rate last season. The Hurricanes ranked in the top 20 nationally with a 90 percent scoring rate in the red zone.

Their red zone scoring rate was deceiving. Field goals accounted for 32.56 percent of the scores. The Hurricanes scored touchdowns on just 58.14 percent of their trips in the red zone.

The one position that did not go through live tackling were the quarterbacks. Richt has yet to decide if that will occur this spring. The quarterbacks were not allowed to be tackled last spring.
