Dorsett was a first round pick in 2015, cornerback Artie Burns went to the Steelers in 2016 and tight end David Njoku to Cleveland last year.

Nine Hurricanes are listed on the NFL.Com website as potential draft picks in April. Surprisingly Harris, Moten and Darling are not among them. Harris is the most surprising of the three. He had a productive Senior season for Miami. The 6’2 248 pound Harris led the Hurricanes with 8.5 sacks and finished fifth with 4.5 tackles for loss.

If the three aforementioned players do not get drafted they should all get spots in training camp. Several Miami Hurricanes who did not get drafted in 2017 earned spots on NFL rosters. Jamal Carter, Justin Vogel and Jermaine Grace all had solid rookie seasons after not getting drafted last season.

Carter played in all 16 games with the Broncos, Vogel was the Packers punter for the entire season and Grace played in 11 games with Atlanta and Indianapolis.

Miami Hurricanes Head Coach Ron Dugans gave a shout out to all the UM participants in Pro Day.

This should be a good class for the Hurricanes lineman. R.J. McIntosh, Kendrick Norton and Chad Thomas are all expected to get drafted. Harris and backup defensive tackle Anthony Moten could get looks but should at least receive camp invites. The big men were working hard on Pro Day.
