This year’s Final Four is being played at the Alamodome in San Antonio. Some adjustments are more obvious like the background to shoot in and others are less obvious such as the locker rooms being further away than in an arena. Larranaga discussed all of it with USA Today.

"“I reminisce about all the different craziness…For us to get to our locker room, it was so far away, we were jogging and took us almost five full minutes to get into our locker room and seated for our last-minute instructions,’’ he said. “And then had to jog back — and I mean jog, we were running — to get back onto the court for the tipoff. “So from the 13-minute (mark), two minutes for the national anthem, five minutes back to get to the locker room, five minutes back to get to the court. I mean, it was like we were rushing. I felt like if I had to do it all over again, I’m not sure how we would handle it because we were required to leave the court. But it was just too darn far to go and get back in a timely fashion.’’"

George Mason lost to eventual National Champion Florida. It was the Gators first of two in a row. Larranaga said that UF had a big advantage because they had played in a dome before.

"“I don’t know where Florida’s locker room was…I don’t know if they had the same issue or if they had that issue at a prior venue and knew what to do. We didn’t have that experience. And maybe that I had nothing to do with the game. I don’t know."
