"“It was an honor to do the drill with him,” Thomas said. “He told me, ‘Great job.’ That’s going to stick with me a long time…It’s a blessing to be here,”"

The Patriots lost Danny Amendola to the Dolphins. Berrios could be a good replacement for him. The 5’9 North Carolina native is projected in the sixth or seventh round.

Richt spoke about the talent that was showcased on Miami’s Pro Day.

"“There are a lot of people here for a reason…We do have a lot of talented guys. I think they appreciate how our guys look, how they act, how they go about their business. I think they know they’re being coached well and that they’re good people. They wouldn’t be here this far in their careers if they weren’t doing things right.”"

The NFL representatives primarily made up of scouts got a chance to talk to Richt and his staff about the 14 players who participated. The Hurricanes boss discussed what they talked about.

"“The bottom line is they’re all asking about a particular player and what I think about him…There is not one guy out there that I can’t brag wholeheartedly about as a person and as a player. They’ve all been awesome for us.”"
