The Miami Hurricanes lost five defensive linemen with the potential to be drafted or at least get a look in NFL Training camp this fall.

All five of the Miami Hurricanes defensive linemen eligible for April’s NFL Draft bring different skill sets to the table and hoped to impress that upon NFL Scouts and Administrators at UM’s Pro Day held Wednesday at the Dolphins Indoor facility.

Three of the Miami Hurricanes defensive linemen eligible for this year’s NFL Draft participated at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis earlier this month. Tackles R.J. McIntosh and Kendrick Norton who chose to forego their senior seasons and end Chad Thomas all took part in the combine.

Backup tackle Anthony Moten and end Trent Harris were not invited to the combine. They had a chance to show their skills at the Hurricanes Pro Day on Wednesday. The Miami Hurricanes defensive linemen were put through drills by New England Patriots Head Coach Bill Belichick.

It was a great experience for the players to go through the drills with arguably the greatest Head Coach in NFL History. If was definitely not expected from the players nor planned. McIntosh discussed what it was like to work out for the five-time Super Bowl winner. McIntosh is projected as a third or fourth round pick per NFL.Com.

"“I didn’t expect that…It was a lot different having him out there trying to do drills with us. That pushed us to do even better. That was cool having him there with us.”"
