Offensive lineman Hayden Mahoney who is likely to be a backup also spoke about what live football and the points system has done for him and his teammates this Spring.

"“It just brings out the competition out of everybody…You know, we go live once a day and it just brings out the competitive nature in everybody and it’s really good for the team morale…It creates good competition and it’s going well for the team.”"

After a 10-3 season, this is a key spring for the Miami Hurricanes. They hope to build on their first ACC Coastal Division Championship and first Appearance in the ACC Championship game. It was also Miami’s first appearance in a Major Bowl since they played in the Orange Bowl following the 2003 season.
