Miami Hurricanes favored to win every game in 2018

Miami has a 15.7 percent chance to win the ACC per the FPI. They have a projected record of 9.5 wins and three losses. They will play 13 games only if they win the Coastal Divison and advance to the ACC Championship game for a second straight season.

Miami’s FPI projected record ranks 13th in the country just behind Michigan State’s 9.5-2.7 record. Although the Hurricanes are projected as a favorite in every game, they are given a 1.1 percent chance to accomplish winning out. That is 13th nationally. Clemson is first with a 19.2 percent chance to finish undefeated.

The Hurricanes 15.7 percent chance to win the ACC Championship is 24th overall in the country for teams projected to in their conference. That is second to Clemson though and first among Coastal Division teams. The Tigers have a prohibitive 68.5 percent chance to win the conference.

One area the Hurricanes are a little bit further down the list is their strength of schedule. Miami schedule ranks 50th nationally. The Hurricanes have non-conference games against FCS Savannah State, at Toledo, the opener against LSU and a game against FIU at Hard Rock Stadium.

FCS teams are not accounted for in the FPI ratings. Miami is 14th overall in the FPI with a 16.2 rating. Florida State is the highest rated team that the Hurricanes are scheduled to play. The Seminoles have an FPI rating of 13.1 and are 18th in the rankings.

LSU is the highest ranked of the non-conference teams on Miami’s schedule at 26th nationally. Toledo is 82 and FIU 115th.
