St. Louis moved from right tackle where he started Miami’s last 21 games. Jones will be entering his first season as a starter.

George Brown began the first nine practices of the Spring at right tackle. Brown has struggled throughout the Spring. The Miami offensive line gave up nine sacks in the first scrimmage of the Spring last Saturday.

Richt and Searles had been hesitant to move Navuaghn Donaldson from right guard where he was named a true Freshmen All-American in 2017. It was announced earlier this week that Donaldson was being moved from right guard to right tackle. Rising Junior Hayden Mahoney was moved into the starting lineup at right guard.

Richt and his staff have done an outstanding job procuring talent on the offensive line in the last two recruiting classes. Some of the Freshmen and Sophomore backups to watch are Sophomore Kai-Leon Herbert, Redshirt Freshman Zalon’tae Hillery and Freshman Delone Scaife and John Campbell.

After last Saturday’s domination debacle by the defensive line, the offensive linemen should be out to show they can do much better in the second of three scrimmages this Spring. Figuring out the offensive line will be important to the offseason when Spring practice is over. Continuity on the O-Line is more important than any other unit in football.
