Malik Rosier still has clear edge as Miami Hurricanes QB
Rosier spent the entire game competing against the first team defense for the second straight week. Perry and Williams went up against the second and third team defenses. Richt gave a clear indication after the game where he stood with who his starting quarterback is.
"“If you understood the format, the team that Malik was on most of the time was the one offense versus the one defense and they didn’t get much going. They had a couple plays here and there, had a couple of well-executed plays. Malik really didn’t get much of a shot to really stand back in there and sight some things up and make some throws. He did pretty well with what he had. He was 9 for 14. His numbers were fine and I can’t think of many balls that were kind of thrown up for grabs.”"
Rosier finished nine of 14 for 105 yards and he was sacked four times. Perry went 11 of 26 for 166 yards with a touchdown and an interception. Williams was nine of 14 for 107 yards, with a touchdown. Like Rosier, Perry has a long way to go with accuracy. He also had the benefit of going against backups on defense.

Williams was impressive for the second straight week. Zagacki and Bailey Junior said that the battle in camp this summer will be more over who will be the second string quarterback than the starter. It’s impossible and naive to disagree at this point.
