Fans see the potential with the rankings out of high school and their skill set. The vast majority of fans do not see the intangibles needed to play the sport’s most demanding position. Richt discussed the entirety of learning how to be a quarterback.

"“When you’re first learning, it’s hard to go be a leader…You’re just trying to make sure you’re doing the right thing. … You’re thinking about so many things that it’s hard to be assertive and now, Jarren’s kind of going through that in the learning process. N’Kosi’s coming through that learning process to the point that he can begin to really assert himself as a leader. He’s got that in him.”"

Perry had an impressive 52-yard completion to Freshman Brian Hightower at the end of the first half.

Richt said, “That was one of the best throws of spring ball”. That was one of several big plays that Perry made in the Spring Game according to the Hurricanes boss.

"“N’Kosi, he knows he’s going to compete…He made some plays."

Williams was nine of 14 for 107 yards and a touchdown. Richt was impressed with his performance.

"“He actually played pretty darn good…He put the ball on the money. He’s got some poise back there. He’s not panicking back there.”"

The likelihood for the rest of the Spring and into summer training camp is that Perry and Williams will be battling to be Rosier’s backup.

It would take something extraordinary for Rosier to be unseated as the starting quarterback. Either a significant drop-off from Rosier or exceptional play from Williams or Perry would have to happen for Rosier to lose his job.
