As Spring Practice has continued to proceed the Miami Hurricanes fanbase needs to accept that Malik Rosier will almost definitely be the starting quarterback in September. Rosier has continually shown this Spring why he is clearly the leader to maintain his role at quarterback.
Rosier might not have the skill set that Redshirt Freshmen N’Kosi Perry and Freshman Jarren Williams have, but his vast advantage in experience and in virtually every intangible it takes to play quarterback make it extremely likely he will be under center when the Miami Hurricanes play against LSU on September 2.
A lot of the focus on Rosier has been what he did wrong in the last three games. Sports can create very short memories for a fan base. Even within a game, quarter or half fans will often focus on the last thing a player or coach did instead of the entire body of work.
Rosier led the Miami Hurricanes to victories in the first 11 starts of his collegiate career. The only other Miami quarterback to begin his collegiate career with wins in 11 consecutive starts is Steve Walsh. Rosier got his first win on the road at Duke in 2015. He then began last season with ten straight wins.
