Miami Hurricanes fans need to accept that Malik Rosier is starting QB
"“I feel like I’m doing fine…The biggest thing is just communicating with these guys. There are a couple times today that I killed plays. It was just something I saw. And Coach Richt told me, ‘Good job.’ Kosi is coming along and Jarren is learning. I wish Cade [Weldon] could be out here because this is a great time for us to get reps and get more experience. For me, personally, I think I’m doing good. My accuracy rate needs to go up. Other than that, I’m doing fine.”"
Working on his accuracy should come with time. There is a larger picture than Rosier being the scapegoat. Miami averaged 2.8 yards per carry in the losses to Pittsburgh and Clemson. If the run game isn’t there that allows the defense to tee off on the opposing offensive line.
Against Clemson and Wisconsin, the Hurricanes were playing against two of the best defensive lines and defenses in the country. A lot of teams struggled offensively against those defenses. Fans forget that Rosier helped lead Miami to a 14-3 against the Badgers in the Orange Bowl.
The Hurricanes defense also bears some responsibility for that loss. Football is the ultimate team game. In Basketball one player can carry a team much more so than in football. In baseball in a handful of at-bats, a position player can change the balance of a game. A dominant pitcher takes a lot of pressure off a team’s offense.

Rosier knows what Richt expects and Richt knows he can rely on Rosier to make the right throw. Improving his accuracy will allow Rosier and the Hurricanes offense to grow. Rosier also needs the rest of the offense to grow up around him.
