Berrios won the Hurricanes receiving triple crown in 2017. He led the team in receptions, receiving yards and receiving touchdowns last fall. He’s also an exceptional punt returner with great hands. Richt repeatedly said why he trusted Berrios on punt returns. Todd McShay seems to agree.

"“And then Braxton Berrios is intriguing to me because of punt return ability above all. He came on strong this past year. Tough player. He has good hands as a receiver and really good hands as a punt returner. He’s just a really natural punt returner who may not be the most explosive guy, but you trust him.”"

If Berrios makes in in the NFL as a receiver many have him being selected by New England. He would fit perfectly in the Patriots system as:

"“A slot receiver, probably a No. 4-type receiver in the league, and a punt returner…You’re getting some good value, I would say, in the fourth round. Maybe he falls in the fifth. But I think fourth-, fifth-round range will be right around where Berrios winds up going.”"

The projection on where Thomas will be drafted is slightly lower by Todd McShay than it is for ESPN’s overall projection. The mothership has Thomas being selected in the second or third round. McShay discussed his analysis of Thomas.

"“Chad Thomas I’ve got a fourth-round grade, later fourth-round grade.”"

Offensive lineman K.C. McDermott is only other draft-eligible player that ESPN projects to potentially be drafted. They have him either being drafted in the fourth round or signing as an undrafted free agent.
