The Miami Hurricanes have added their third transfer guard in less than a week. Miami Native and former Florida Gulf Coast Star guard Zach Johnson announced his decision to attend Miami as a graduate transfer for the 2018-19 season.

Johnson was a prep star at Miami Norland High School. He was a teammate of the Miami Hurricanes Dewan Huell. Huell announced his decision to turn pro but not sign with an agent. That allows him the potential to return to Miami next season.

Johnson is the third transfer to commit to Miami in less than a week. Former three-star recruit Anthony Mack announced his decision to transfer from Wyoming. The Hurricanes also added former top 40 recruit Kameron McGusty from Oklahoma.

McGusty and Johnson will never play on the floor together at Miami. Johnson has only one season of collegiate eligibility remaining. McGusty will have to sit out the 2018-19 season. Johnson has 15 credit hours to complete this summer to graduate according to the Naples Daily News.

Johnson was the Eagles third leading scorer as a Freshman and second-leading scorer the last two seasons. He will be a fifth-year Senior who sat out his Freshman season in 2014-15 with an undisclosed injury.

Johnson played in 103 games for the Eagles over three seasons. He started 86 of those. He started all but one game the last two seasons.
