Players exit interviews and then recruiting for Miami Hurricanes Coaching Staff.

After the exit interviews and Spring evaluations are completed the Miami Hurricanes coaching staff takes to the road to work on recruiting. Miami had the Nation’s top-ranked class for 2019 earlier this year per 247Sports composite rankings. They have since dropped to seventh overall. Richt discussed the recruiting schedule that commences this week.

"“That’ll (the exit interviews) happen Monday and Tuesday, then Wednesday, our coaches are hitting the road. They’ll be on the road for the next four weeks or so, with spring recruiting. There will be a couple of days where we’ll bring everyone back in town and compare notes before we got back out again.” There might be a coach in this area who sees a tight end, but he may not be the tight ends coach. Then we have a meeting and say, ‘hey, [Coach] Hartley, second time around, you have to see this guy.’ We’ll do some organizational meetings that way…"

The Hurricanes received some great momentum heading into the Spring recruiting season. Four-star offensive tackle Michael Tarquin who is the top-ranked player in Florida at his position committed to Miami on Saturday.

UM is higher on Tarquin than the scouting services are. The Canes have him ranked 13th among offensive tackles and 125th overall in the Class of 2019.

Tarquin is ranked the 26th best offensive tackle and 275th best player overall in 247Sports Composite rankings. Tarquin is expected to graduate from high school early and enroll at Miami next January.
