Miami Hurricanes have the most players ranked in each 1st round slot

26 Ray Lewis LB Baltimore Ravens 1996

Lewis came to Miami with the last scholarship the Hurricanes had available in 1993. Irvin and Lewis and are the most polarizing players in Miami Hurricanes history. Sapp and Lewis were the cornerstones of the 1994 Miami team that played in the January 1, 1995, Orange Bowl game against number National Champion Nebraska.

Despite only three seasons in College, Lewis left the U second in career tackles and assists. He made an immediate impact with the Ravens. Lewis started 13 of the 14 games he played in with Baltimore in his rookie season in 1995.

In his second season, Lewis became a dominant force. He finished the season with a ridiculous 156 tackles and four sacks. That was the first of five straight seasons and eight overall with at least 100 tackles.

Thirteen times Lewis was named to the Pro Bowl, seven times as first-team All-Pro and was the 2000 and 2003 Defensive Player of the Year and Super Bowl XXXV MVP. He is 29th all-time with 227 starts and 11th with 21 playoff starts.

Earlier this month, ESPN named Lewis the greatest draft pick in Ravens history, Reed was third. When Lewis is enshrined in the Hall of Fame this summer, his daughter Diaymon will present him.
