Walton would be a good fit for the Bills. LeSean McCoy will turn 30 before the start of the season. That’s often the age of no return for running backs unless your name is Frank Gore. Shady ran for 1,138 yards last season and caught 59 passes for another 448 yards. McCoy was second in the NFL last season with 287 rushing attempts.

Walton’s versatility as a runner and receiver, plus his adeptness as a blocker would give them a player with similar attributes to what McCoy provides. Since traded quarterback, Tyrod Taylor was second on the Bills last season with 84 carries.

The second round in the NFL Draft is not likely to see any Miami Hurricanes alums be selected. Thomas and Walton appear to be the most likely to be selected in the third round. McIntosh could surprise and hear his name come off the board in the third.

Saturday will be an exciting day for Miami Hurricanes fans watching the draft. The potential is there for seven or eight former Canes to hear their names called.

Players to watch on Saturday could be some combination of McIntosh, Thomas and Walton, plus receiver Braxton Berrios, tight end Chris Herndon IV and defensive tackle Kendrick Norton. Lineman K.C. McDermott should also expect to hear his name called on Saturday.
