Berrios was getting impatient with the process. At one point he sent out a tweet to his followers to reassure them.

Once he was eventually selected by New England, Berrios tweeted his excitement.

Chris Hogan and Julian Edelman are listed as the Patriots starters at wide receiver. They often play three or four wide receiver sets. If Berrios make the Patriots he should see playing time. Hogan had 34 receptions and five touchdowns last season. Edelman is returning from a torn ACL.

Berrios recently spoke to WQAM as relayed by Susan Miller Degnan in the Miami Herald about what an NFL team can expect from him.

"“Obviously, in college, especially this last year, I played primarily in slot…But I did line up at boundary. I did line up outside at Z, so I’ve done other things. …Naturally, I am a slot. But there’s nothing to say I can’t go play outside at some point in time.”"

Berrios’ experience on special teams should also give him a great chance to make the Patriots. He was an exceptional punt returner in college. Berrios averaged 10.4 yards per return with a touchdown in his collegiate career. Berrios was outstanding his last two seasons. He averaged 13.1 yards per return in his final two seasons.
