If the consensus projections in the Mock Draft prove correct the Hurricanes will have their highest amount of first-round picks since 2007. Brandon Meriweather, Jon Beason and Greg Olsen were all selected in the first round that season.

The highest pick on the board for any of the potential Miami Hurricanes draftees in 2019 is Richards as the tenth pick to the Buffalo Bills by CBSSports.Com. CBS reiterated the importance of Richards staying healthy in 2018 for his draft status next spring if he chooses to come out.

"“Richards will have to prove he can stay healthy this year after being limited by a hamstring injury in 2017, but his nearly 20 yards per catch the previous year shows you how much of a threat he can be if 100 percent.”"

CBS also has Joe Jackson coming out after his Junior season. Their eye on Jackson has him being the 29th selection in the 2019 NFL Draft to the Green Bay Packers. They project the 6’5 258 pound Jackson as hybrid defensive end/linebacker in the Packers 3-4 defense.

SB Nation is one of the sites that projects Michael Jackson and Johnson in the first round. They have the Hurricanes Senior defensive back tandem being selected back-to-back as the 18th and 19th picks in the draft. Dan Kadar has Jackson to the Houston Texans and Johnson to the Dallas Cowboys.
