Senior Defensive End Demetrius Jackson
Jackson was off to a great start last season before suffering a season-ending injury. Jackson produced at a high level on a roster loaded with defensive ends. In six games Jackson had 18 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, an interception and two passed defended.
Jackson will have a battle on his hands to keep his starting position. Joe Jackson almost definitely has one spot locked down at defensive end. The competition for playing time will be fierce between Demetrius Jackson, rising Sophomore Jonathan Garvin and Freshman Gregory Rousseau.

Rousseau has become a Miami Hurricanes legend before ever playing a game. In three Spring practices, he had nine sacks.
That all came with the second-team defense against the second team offense. Rousseau has to prove he can compete against a first-team offense.

He had four tackles and two TFL in the streak-breaking win at Florida State last season, repeated those numbers and added an interception against Syracuse and had three tackles, two TFL and a sack at North Carolina.
