Miami Hurricanes 8th in consensus 2018 post Spring CFB Rankings
CBS has the Hurricanes one spot below where ESPN has them. Despite that, they had more praise for Miami.
"“Mark Richt has gotten the Canes back in a hurry. Despite a three-game losing streak to end 2017, there is plenty to look forward to. Quarterback Malik Rosier is a year older and wiser. Watch the buzz build if the Canes beat LSU in the opener.”"
USA Today has Miami 10th and went straight to the point about this season and Richt’s re-building. All of the rankings were posted since the calendar flipped to May except for Athlon. They have not updated their rankings since March 6. Sporting News has Miami the lowest among the Media’s version of the Power Five at 11th.
The Sporting News is high on Rosier, Travis Homer and the Canes defense. Athlon went a little more in-depth into who is returning, who left and who the Hurricanes key players will be this fall.
After last season the expectations at Miami have been raised. They are still not at the level that they were at during the championship runs, but Richt is getting them there.
