Former Miami Basketball star Bruce Brown who missed the final two months of the college basketball season with an injured left foot is looking forward to next week’s NBA Combine in Chicago.

In an interview with the Michelle Kaufman in the Miami Herald, Miami basketball’s leader in assists and steals this past season discussed what’s next for him.

Among the topics were the speed and physicality of the NBA, his draft status and how he is looking forward to showing scouts he’s recovered from the surgery that cost him the final 13 games of the season.

Brown led Miami this past season with 4.0 assists and 7.1 rebounds per game. It’s that all-around game that has NBA scouts interested. He was also averaging 11.4 PPG. 1.3 steals and nearly a block per game at the time of his season-ending injury.

NBA Draft.Net’s Consensus Mock Draft has Brown projected to be selected 43rd by the Denver Nuggets.

Brown has been able to spend the last few months rehabbing and resting his foot. The importance of him getting on the court next week is vital to his draft prospects. He will get a chance to play against some of the best players who are eligible for the draft. His Miami teammate Lonnie Walker is among the invitees.
