"7. Malik Rosier, Miami Even though Rosier guided Miami to 11 wins and set a new school record with 31 total touchdowns last year, he’s not guaranteed to start in 2018. The senior is being pushed by redshirt freshman N’Kosi Perry and true freshman Jarren Williams for the starting job, with the battle expected to extend deep into fall practice. Two areas of concern for Rosier: Completion percentage and turnovers. In 13 games last year, Rosier completed only 54 percent of his throws and tossed 14 picks."

Miami Hurricanes Head Coach Mark Richt has repeatedly said throughout the Spring that the job is not set in stone, but that Rosier will likely be the starter. His most recent quote was the “Rosier ought to be the starter.”

Duke’s Daniel Jones numbers were fairly similar to Rosier’s last season. He is entering his third season as a starter. He struggled last season. In 2016 Jones finished third in the ACC Rookie of the Year voting behind Francois and Miami’s Ahmmon Richards.

After completing 62.8 percent of his passes and throwing for 2,836 yards in 2016, Jones regressed to 56.7 percent and 2,691 yards last season. He did increase his rushing yards from 486 yards as a Freshman to 518 yards last season. Jones ran in seven scores in 2016 and ’17.
