The Miami baseball team has earned the seventh seed in the ACC tournament and are in Pool B. They open tournament play Tuesday night at 7 PM ET against 11th seed Notre Dame. Third-seeded Clemson is the top seed in the Pool.

Much like it’s football counterparts the Miami baseball team will have its two biggest games of the season against Clemson and Notre Dame. After a day off on Wednesday, the Hurricanes will resume play on Thursday against Clemson.

The Tigers will have a much shorter turnaround time. Their first game in the tournament is Wednesday afternoon at 3 PM ET against Notre Dame.

Miami baseball finished in a tie with Florida State for sixth in the ACC Standings. The Seminoles earned the higher seed after winning two of three against the Hurricanes in Tallahassee last month.

The ACC Tournament starts on Tuesday morning at 11 AM ET when 12th seed Pittsburgh faces eighth seed Georgia Tech in Pool A. Tenth-seeded Virginia plays Florida State in Pool C at 3 PM ET before the Hurricanes and Fighting Irish play.

Miami won two out of three from both Clemson and Notre Dame this season. They shut out the Fighting Irish in the first two games of the ACC season. Miami won the opener 3-0 behind Jeb Bargfeldt and Cooper Hammond. Evan McKendry and Frankie Bartow combined for the shutout in game two.

Bargfeldt and McKendry are the likely starters in the ACC Tournament. McKendry was dominant with two hits allowed and 12 strikeouts in six innings against Notre Dame.
