Dillon will be a good test for the Miami defense. The Hurricanes finished 43rd in the country in rushing yards allowed per game with 145.8. Miami was a very respectable 17th allowing a stingy 3.5 yards per carry.

After traveling to Chestnut Hill the Hurricanes return home to play Duke. Miami won 31-6 in Durham last season. Richt and Brown will have to account for Giles-Harris and Gilbert when Miami is on offense.

Giles-Harris finished 19th in the country last season with 125 total tackles. Fifty-four of those were solo. Giles-Harris also finished fourth in the ACC last season with 16.5 tackles for loss.

Gilbert matched Williams and was second in the ACC to Denis with six interceptions in 2017. He added 35 tackles and three tackles for loss. Gilbert led the ACC and was third nationally with an average of 1.6 passes defended per game. He had 15 on the season.

Malik Rosier is going to have to do a better job taking care of the football this season. Miami faces three of the nation’s top cornerbacks in Williams, Taylor and Gilbert.
