  • Sophomore Guard Miles Wilson and Graduate Transfer Guard Zach Johnson will provide Miami with experience. They should also be able to replace Walker and Brown. Wilson and Johnson are not as talented as the NBA Draftee Hurricanes, but they are just as productive.

Lykes will start with Wilson and Johnson in the backcourt. He was dynamic and electrifying often last season. He was the second-leading scorer on the team in ACC play behind Walker. Lykes averaged 11.9 PPG in conference games.

After sitting out last season, Wilson is entering his third year in college. Wilson has three seasons of eligibility remaining beginning with the 2018-19 season.

He played in two NCAA Tournament games with Mount St. Mary’s in 2017. Wilson scored 39 points in the Mountaineers two NCAA games that March. They were eliminated by then defending National Champion Villanova.

Johnson has three games of NCAA Tournament experience. He played with Florida Gulf Coast in the 2016 and 2017 NCAA Tournaments. The Eagles lost to eventual National runner-up North Carolina in 2016. They played Florida State extremely tough before falling 86-80 in 2017.
