Yasmani Grandal 2015

Grandal made the NL All-Star team by hitting .282 with 14 home runs and 36 RBIs in the first half in 2015. He struggled with injuries in the second half of the season and finished with only 16 home runs and 47 RBIs.

Grandal pinch hit for Molina in the eighth inning and grounded out to shortstop against Kansas City Royals closer Wade Davis. He finished the game behind the plate.

Grandal had the best season of his career in 2016. He hit 27 home runs and had 72 RBIs as the Dodgers advanced to the NLCS. He had a solid season in 2017 hitting with 22 home runs and 58 RBIs.

There was some talk that Grandal might get a second nod to the All-Star game this season. He got off to a great start hitting .315 with four home runs and 20 RBIs in March and April. Grandal was abysmal in May and June. He hit .171 with seven home runs and 19 RBIs in the second and third months of the season.

Grandal has rebounded and been on fire in July. He is hitting .412 with two home runs, eight RBIs and 1.310 OPS this month heading into the All-Star Break.
