The Hurricanes open the Wooden Legacy against LaSalle on Thanksgiving Day, November 22 at 2:30 PM ET, 11:30 AM PT at Titan Gym on the campus of Cal State Fullerton. That game will be televised by ESPNU. Miami would play Northwestern or Fresno State next.

The Hurricanes and Explorers are playing for the fifth time in the last seven seasons. Miami has won the previous four. LaSalle leads the all-time series with Miami nine to eight. The teams played last season in Reading, Pennsylvania for Lonnie Walker to be able to play in front of his hometown fans.

The Wildcats had a disappointing season after breaking through their program glass ceiling with the school’s first NCAA Tournament appearance and win in 2017. Both the Wildcats and Minnesota failed to live up to expectations in 2018.

Fresno State finished 21-11 last season. They did not play in a postseason tournament. The Bulldogs lost in the first round of the Mountain West Tournament to San Diego State. Fresno State is the only team from California playing in the tournament.

Fresno State lost four of their top six scorers from 2018. Leading scorer Deshon Taylor who averaged 17.8 points per game and shot 38.6 percent on threes and 83.3 percent from free throw line does return.
