Posting to Twitter on Monday, ESPN and SEC network pundit Peter Burns predicted LSU would roll Miami football by two touchdowns and the entire SEC would trade schedules with the Hurricanes.
As often seems to be the case the Miami football team was the subject of a tirade by ESPN and SEC pundit Peter Burns on Monday. While some might say it was just a pair of opinions it seems like the Tweets were posted to generate conversation and be provocative.
Burns original post was in response to his colleague Paul Finebaum’s tweet quoting the SEC network host saying that for LSU “The week 1 game vs. Miami is the biggest opening game for LSU in a decade.” Burns was hosting Finebaum’s show on Monday.
There was plenty of harsh responses for Burns from Miami Twitter. He wasn’t finished with the criticism of the Miami football team with his bold prediction of an easy win for the Tigers opening weekend.
And LSU will roll Miami by 2+ touchdowns. https://t.co/nfV1JVKasB

Burns follow up Tweet bashed the Miami football schedule. He sent out an initial Tweet asking how easy is the Hurricanes schedule after LSU. Burns compared it to a short golf course and being allowed to use mulligans.
My goodness how easy is Miami's schedule in 2018 after LSU?

Like playing a 6300 yard golf course, with mulligans. pic.twitter.com/26FCivvmIB
Miami Hurricanes alum and Burns ESPN colleague Chris Fallica responded to Burns allegations about the Miami football schedule.
Wouldn't say easy, as FSU and at VT aren't gimme games. And neither is Friday game at BC. Then there's that little game vs some team named Clemson should they get that far.

That also brought plenty of responses from the Twitter-verse. One was surprised by Burns confidence in the LSU offense to score two touchdowns.
Boldest part of that prediction is you think LSU can score 2 touchdowns

The Tigers offense is in rebuilding mode this season. They lost their starting quarterback and leading rusher and receiver from 2017. Burns then amended his initial statement after the fan called him out on it. Burns revised the final score, but not the margin of victory.
All FG's....18-3.
