As usual, a lot to Miami fans called Burns out for being a hater and crying ESPN bias against the Hurricanes. The fact Burns Tweets occurred during the week he’s hosting the Finebaum show doesn’t help.

Finebaum is notorious for saying that Miami is a terrible job and has a delusional fan base. He followed that up last season with saying the Miami fan base is the most thin-skinned in college football.

Burns was justified in giving his opinion on what the outcome of the game between the U and LSU will be opening weekend. That doesn’t mean we have to agree with it. Burns went overboard attacking the Miami football schedule, Fallica called him out on it. Burns wasn’t done with his criticism of the Hurricanes.

Miami is going to have to hear about the three-game losing streak to end last season until they finish strong this season. Miami Senior safety Jaquan Johnson talked about the importance of a strong finish in 2018 at last week’s ACC Kickoff in Charlotte.

"“We used those three games that we lost….We talk about finishing…We’ve got to start fast and finish strong. We started fast last year, but we didn’t finish strong. In Wisconsin we let that game go, come up here to Charlotte…we get surprised by the big stage and lose that (ACC Championship game)… We slipped up at Pitt, lackadaisical, missing throws, not executing on defense, things like that we can’t do. We have to have an attack mindset the entire season. That’s the only way you can win it all.”"

Fans will often isolate one social media post, article or comment and cry hatred towards their team. It’s easy to do in this era. It’s always better to take a step back and look at the bigger picture.

These pundits are paid to write and talk about college football. Over the course of an entire season, they are going to make positive and negative comments about every program.
