Rosier finished fifth in the ACC last season in total offense. He is third among returning players in the ACC in total offense. Rosier averaged 276 total yards per game last season. The only returning players in the ACC with higher average total yards per game are Finley and Bryant.

Rosier was sixth among ACC quarterbacks in rushing yards last season and is fourth among returning quarterbacks. That ranking includes Georgia Tech’s Taquan Marshall who is basically a running back in the Yellow Jackets triple-option offense. Florida State quarterback James Blackman ran 64 times for negative 39 yards last season.

As the Miami Hurricanes prepare for 2018  the offense should be more settled this season. The biggest concern will be the offensive line. Center Tyler Gauthier is the Hurricanes only returning starter in the same position as he was in 2017.

Tyree St. Louis who was the starting right tackle in 2017 will be the starting left tackle in 2018. Navaughn Donaldson has moved from right guard where he was a Freshman All-American in 2017 to St. Louis’ spot at right tackle.

The injuries put a strain on a chance for Rosier to maintain a rhythm last season. Homer didn’t become the starter at running back until the fifth game after Walton’s injury. A lack of depth behind Homer meant that the Miami coaching staff had to move DeeJay Dallas from wide receiver to running back.
