Florida State at Miami Hurricanes: Week 6 Game Info
Miami and Florida State will be an ABC afternoon game for the second straight season. The Hurricanes and Seminoles played in the ABC College Football Primetime game of the week between 2012-16. Last year’s game was scheduled for ABC Primetime in Week three but was moved because of Hurricane Irma.
The game had to be rescheduled from September 16 to October 7. When Florida State started 1-2 the game was shifted from primetime to a 3:30 ET start in Tallahassee. The game is the first weekend in October for the third consecutive year as well as an afternoon game for the second straight season.

Last year’s game had the miracle Malik Rosier to Darrell Langham 23 yard touchdown connection as called on WQAM by Miami Hurricanes play-by-play announcer Joe Zagacki. Getting the anvil off their backs in the victory at Doak Campbell Stadium was an important step for Mark Richt as he rebuilds the Hurricanes football program.
The margin in the last four Miami Hurricanes-Florida State games have barely covered this year’s 13.5 point spread. The Seminoles won from 2014-16 by a combined total of ten points and Miami won last season’s game by four.
The teams combined for three lead changes in the last 5:09 seconds of the fourth quarter last year before Rosier and Langham’s heroics.
