The Miami Hurricanes and Florida State are ready to meet for the 63rd time in one of the most historic rivalries in college football. Miami ended a seven-game losing streak to the Seminoles last season. They hope to break a six-game home losing streak versus FSU today.

Ahead of the today’s game Canes Warning exchanged a series of questions with FanSided’s Florida State site Chop Chat and their expert Jason Parker. We extended the olive branch to them. Our questions and their answers are below. You can find our answers to their questions about the Florida State-Miami Hurricanes game here.

Canes Warning-As bad as Florida State’s offensive line has started the season how can they block the Miami Hurricanes front seven that is leading the nation in tackles for loss?

Chop Chat-Well, the offensive line has been bad for several years now so it’s not a shock that this season has started the same way. That being said, they have shown progression as the weeks have gone on and have kept Deondre Francois upright a lot more of late than through the first three games of the season.

As for the Miami front seven – which without a doubt will be the best the Seminoles have seen so far – you can expect the Noles to attempt a lot more short passes to get the ball out of Francois’ hands quickly….

Willie Taggart knows he is not going to have the time to set up a lot of plays and would rather take a five-yard gain than a seven-yard loss.

CW- How can Florida State run the football against the Miami Hurricanes? Although Miami did struggle stopping the run against Toledo and North Carolina they are still 13th in the nation in yards per carry on defense. Has Florida State utilized Cam Akers correctly this season?
