The Miami Hurricanes are by far the nation’s best pass defense this year allowing only 138.8 yards per game. How will Florida State move the football?

CC-Syracuse is mediocre? Didn’t they almost beat you last season and beat a Clemson team in 2017 that destroyed Miami while almost beating them this season too?

(Note-Kelly Bryant missed the entire second half against Clemson, the game was at the Carrier Dome. Tigers had a lot more on the line against Miami and last year has no relevance to this season. Syracuse still has a lot to prove this season. Notably left out was Syracuse’s 4-8 record last season.)

CC-I would also argue that the North Carolina team the Canes destroyed last game is as bad as Louisville, but we’ll move on.

As I said previously, Miami’s defense is too good to where the Seminoles can beat them with the trick plays and deep ball the whole game. It’s going to take a lot of simple plays – slant passes, dump offs and long drives that methodically go down the field.

In 2016, when the Canes were supposed to end their home losing streak but lost again to Florida State, the Seminoles did that and it helped set up the occasional big play like the long touchdown catch by Miami native Dalvin Cook.
