CW- Summary. Since Mark Richt took over at Miami for the 2016 season the Hurricanes are 14-2 at home in the regular season. Herbstreit and others, including a Notre Dame player who said that Hard Rock Stadium is the loudest stadium he ever played in have said that the home crowd for the big game in Miami is back.

Herbstreit’s game broadcast partner Chris Fowler last season said the atmosphere for night games at Hard Rock Stadium is one of the best in college football. Florida State fans are holding on to their six-game winning streak in Miami Gardens. All of those wins came before the renovations at Hard Rock Stadium were complete.

Miami is a big event town and that extends to sports. Tallahassee is not nearly as sophisticated as South Florida and the competition for the entertainment dollar is virtually non-existent. The FSU sports teams are about all they have. It’s similar in places like Tuscaloosa and Athens, Georgia.

Have to agree with the monstrosity that is the Marlins Stadium. It was time for the Orange Bowl to go, however.
