Malik Rosier and N’Kosi Perry have played well against FCS and Group of Five Conference teams but been inconsistent against Power Five teams. Some fans and analysts might say that Perry hasn’t had enough of a chance against other Power Five teams. He has played two entire games against Power Five teams.

With Kaaya as the quarterback in 2016 during Richt’s first season the Miami Hurricanes passing game against Power Five teams was one of the best in the country.

Miami finished 20th nationally averaging 283.3 passing yards per game against Power Five teams. The Hurricanes fell to 39th and 245 passing yards per game in 2017.

That number has plummeted to 85th and just 194.5 passing yards per game against Power Five teams in 2018. If the passing game doesn’t improve as this season goes on teams will be able to continue to stack the box and make Rosier, Perry or whoever is the quarterback beat them or Miami will not be able to move the ball offensively.

Fans throughout social media hammered Rosier for his inability to consistently complete passes. It has been a problem for both Perry and Rosier this season.
