The Bulldogs were 9-5 in Bowl Games under Richt. Miami has split their two bowl games under the former Hurricanes quarterback. Miami defeated West Virginia in the Camping World Bowl in 2016 and lost to Wisconsin in the Orange Bowl last season. Miami’s Camping World Bowl win was their first bowl victory in ten years.

Georgia three biggest rivals are Auburn, Florida and Georgia Tech. Richt was very successful against Auburn and Georgia Tech. Georgia had a 13-2 record against the Yellow Jackets under Richt. The Bulldogs were 10-5 against Auburn during the Richt era.

Florida was a different story. The Bulldogs managed only five wins in Jacksonville at the World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party against the Gators.

Georgia won five SEC Eastern Division Championships during his 15 years in Athens. The Bulldogs were victorious twice in the SEC Championship game in 2002 and 2005.

Richt is a great coach and certainly in the Nation’s upper tier of coaches. He’s arguably the best Head Coach in Florida. He’s certainly proven to be better than Florida State’s Wille Taggart. The knock on him has often been can he be the coach to lead a team to a National Championship or even the College Football Playoff.
