The Miami Hurricanes are on the road for the second game in a row after they had a bye week last week. The face the difficult task of facing a hungry Boston College team on Friday night.

The Miami Hurricanes return to play following their bye week coming off of a demoralizing loss at Virginia two weeks ago. The 16-13 loss to the Cavaliers dropped Miami to 5-2 overall and 2-1 in the ACC.

The loss to UVA leaves the Hurricanes will little to no room to lose the remainder of the season if they hope to repeat their ACC Coastal Divison title. Miami is in the middle of four out of five games on the road. The Hurricanes return home next week to host Duke before road games at Georgia Tech and Virginia Tech.

Boston College enters the game against Miami after running Louisville into the ground two weeks ago in a 38-20 victory. Playing without star running back A.J. Dillon the Eagles still ran for 251 yards and three touchdowns while averaging 4.1 yards per carry. Backup running backs David Bailey and Ben Glines both ran for over 100 yards.

Dillon is expected to play on Friday night and he will be one of the biggest tests this season for the Miami Hurricanes defense. Boston College’s 21st ranked rushing offense against Miami’s 12th ranked rushing defense could decide the game.

The game is a marquee one on Boston College’s schedule no matter how you analyze it. Miami is always a big game on an opponents schedules, its Boston College’s annual red bandana game that honors 9/11 hero and BC alum Wells Crowther and its being nationally televised on ESPN.

The Hurricanes have to get off to a good start and try and take the Eagles crowd out of the game quickly. If Miami can do that they could be on their way to a key victory.
