Its time for the Miami Hurricanes and Mark Richt to stop the excuses

Much of the Miami Hurricanes fanbase and some in the media have called for N’Kosi Perry to be the quarterback instead of Malik Rosier. Many of their stats are nearly identical.

Both quarterbacks have struggled with accuracy. The Hurricanes are 114th nationally with a 53.2 completion percentage. The inconsistency of the passing game has allowed teams to stack the box against the Miami running game and be able to frequently shut it down.

Instead of speaking in specifics what they plan to do to fix the offense or at least acknowledge that something has to be done to fix it, Richt gave his usual coachspeak after the loss to Boston College.

"“All you can do is go back to the drawing board and keep working hard and looking at the next opponent and get ready to play ball…We’re all disappointed.’’"

Richt’s quote could have been plugged into any of the 10 losses that the Miami Hurricanes have had during Richt’s tenure. There has been a lot of fallout from Friday night’s loss. The comments have ranged far and wide.

From the fans locally on social media to local media and ESPN’s Gameday crew on Saturday morning. Richt seems to be in denial about his team’s inability on offense.

Desmond Howard who won the 1991 Heisman Trophy at Michigan and was the MVP of Superbowl XXXI discussed the Miami Hurricanes problems on offense on Gameday.
