The Miami Hurricanes only have three quarterbacks on their roster who will be back for 2019. Without a quarterback committed to the 2019 recruiting class should Miami pursue a transfer?

Kelly Bryant who led Clemson to the ACC Championship over the Miami Hurricanes and a berth in the College Football Playoff last season is the biggest name among the quarterbacks looking for a new school in 2019.

Bryant is currently considering Arkansas, Baylor, Louisville, Missouri and North Carolina. He has taken trips to Arkansas, Missou and UNC thus far. With the Miami Hurricanes seemingly out of the hunt, for now, there are several other options at quarterback in the transfer market for Miami to consider.

Two of the bigger names to announce their intention to transfer are Iowa State Zeb Noland and Utah’s Jack Tuttle. Some of the Miami Hurricanes fanbase might grimace at those names.

With three quarterbacks on scholarship heading into 2019, it might do the Hurricanes some good to at least inquire about Noland, Tuttle and other potential transfer quarterback’s intentions for 2019.

While basketball is a very different sport in that one player can completely transform a team, transfers have helped fuel the Miami Hurricanes basketball program under Jim Larranaga.

Noland’s credentials are similar to Weldon’s but not as good as Perry and Williams. He would be a solid player to add to the Hurricanes depth chart if not challenge for playing time.

Noland lost the Cyclones starting quarterback job earlier this season. Among the schools that recruited the Georgia native are Florida, Florida State, Georgia and Nebraska.

In two seasons he has completed 106 passes in 176 attempts for 60.2 percent for 1,255 yards, six touchdowns and two interceptions. The completion percentage and touchdown to interception ratio fit perfectly in what Miami Head Coach Mark Richt preaches about taking care of the ball.
