Who plays quarterback for the Miami Hurricanes?

We know that Malik Rosier will start. The question remains does he play the whole game. There has been a lot of speculation on why N’Kosi Perry was pulled so quickly against Virginia and didn’t play at all against Boston College.

Richt has repeatedly spoken out about wanting maturity from his quarterback(s). That is more important on the road than at him. With a crowd behind you, it’s a lot easier to perform at a high level.

Perry’s success or lack thereof has been overblown thus far. He has not proven to be the savior at quarterback that many in the Miami Hurricanes fan base think he is or should be. Perry’s numbers are not that much better than Rosier’s.

No matter who is under center the Miami Hurricanes need better quarterback play. As a team, Miami is 83rd in quarterback rating, 115th in completion percentage, and 94th in passing yards per game. The poor play that Miami has received at quarterback this season has hindered the entire offense.

The lack of consistency at offensive line has also hindered the Miami offense. The combination of the two has allowed defenses to stack the box against the run. Under Richt in losses, one of the biggest common threads has been Miami’s inability to run the football.
