Rutgers is in their third year under Head Coach Steve Pikiell. Pickiell is 0-2 in the ACC-Big Ten Challenge with a loss to Florida State last season and the Hurricanes two seasons ago. The Scarlet Knights are 1-3 overall in the Challenge. Rutgers only victory in the Challenge was a 69-64 win at Clemson in 2014.

Miami returns to the Watsco Center attempting to win their 20th straight non-conference home game. The Hurricanes haven’t been beaten in a non-conference home game since losing to Northeastern in November 2015.

Rutgers starting lineup will give the Miami basketball team some matchup problems, especially for Chris Lykes. All of the Scarlet Knights starters are 6’5 or taller. The most familiar name for Miami basketball fans is Ron Harper Jr. the son of five-time NBA Champion and former second-team All-American Ron Harper.

The 6’6 230-pound four-star Freshman comes off the bench but is fifth in the Scarlet Knights in minutes played. He is averaging 6.4 PPG and 3.4 rebounds per game. Rutgers also boasts 6’11 275 center Shaquille Dorson and his 6’10 264 pound backup Myles Johnson.
