Harvey will have a chance to compete for playing time right away with Sophomore Jonathan Garvin, Freshman Gregory Rousseau who is coming off of ankle surgery and Jackson if he returns for his Senior season.

Harvey is a player whose recruiting profile is on the rise. He is the 220th ranked player in the Class of 2019, the 14th ranked strongside defensive end and the 33rd ranked player in Florida. He played his high school football for Vero Beach.

Hodges is a key player at tight end who adds depth to a unit decimated by injuries this season. Miami lost potential 2018 starter, Junior Michael Irvin II during training camp in August, Sophomore backup Brian Polendey in September and Freshmen Brevin Jordan and Mike Mallory late in the season.

Hodges is the 574th ranked player in the Class of 2019, the 26th ranked tight end and 73rd ranked player in Florida. He helped Tampa Jesuit reach the 5A Florida Semifinals for the third straight season.

Nelson was the most recent player to commit to Surge ’19. He signed his National Letter of Intent less than a week after committing to the Hurricanes.

Nelson adds much-needed depth to an offensive line that has struggled during the three years of the Mark Richt era. The Miami football team was 63rd in sacks allowed and 44th in tackles for loss against on offense in 2018.

Crouch adds depth to a secondary that will lose cornerback Michael Jackson who is expected to be a high draft pick in next spring’s NFL Draft. Couch is the 302nd ranked player, the 31st ranked cornerback and 41st ranked player in Florida for 2019.
