The Miami Football program will find out the college destination of three critical recruits to the Surge ’19 recruiting class on Saturday at the Army All-American Bowl in San Antonio.

Five-star wide receiver Jadon Haselwood and four-stars, defensive end Khris Bogle and safety Tyrique Stevenson will announce where they will play College Football live on NBC during the Army All-American game from 1-4 ET on Saturday afternoon. Any combination of the three would be a big boost to the Miami football program.

Haselwood would be the sixth highest-rated recruit in Miami football history, the fourth highest-rated offensive player in program history and the second highest rated wide receiver to sign with the Hurricanes. Haselwood is the sixth highest rated player in the Class of 2019 and the top-rated wide receiver and player in Georgia.

The 6.2.5 190 pound Georgia native would give the Hurricanes offense and Class of 2019 a major boost. Miami has only five offensive players signed for 2019, three of those are on the offensive line. Four-star wide receiver Jeremiah Payton is the only wideout the Hurricanes inked in the early signing period last month.

While the experts including the Atlanta Journal-Constitution list Miami in the running for Haselwood, he told USA Today differently. In an interview with Logan Newman Haselwood said: “The hats that are going to be on the table are FSU, Tennessee, Georgia and Oklahoma.”

Miami has had a lot of success going into Georgia during the last three recruiting classes. A lot of that can be contributed to the contacts that recently retired Miami and former Georgia Head Coach Mark Richt had. Hurricanes Sophomore DeeJay Dallas has also helped the Hurricanes recruit from his home state.

The 247 Sports Crystal Ball has 93 percent of their prognosticators projecting Haselwood to sign with Oklahoma. Playing for Lincoln Riley is probably more appealing for an offensive player than Georgia’s Kirby Smart or the recently hired Manny Diaz for Miami.

Bogle and Stevenson provide the flip side of that to Oklahoma. The Hurricanes are also battling with Georgia for Stevenson. Miami is a prohibitive favorite among the prognosticators to sign Bogle, but Alabama has come in late and others state that it’s 50-50 with the Crimson Tide. It’s never easy to have to go up against Nick Saban.

Bogle is considered the most likely of the three to sign with Miami. He is the nation’s 57th ranked player overall, the third best weakside defensive end and the seventh best player in Florida in the Class of 2019. The Crystal Ball projects him as 87 percent to sign with the Hurricanes.

Stevenson like Bogle is the type of homegrown player Miami needs to sign to rebuild the program back to the nation’s elite. Seventy-six percent of the prognosticators project Stevenson to sign with Georgia. He is the nation’s 38th ranked player overall, the fourth-ranked cornerback and sixth-ranked player in Florida for 2019.

At 6’0.5 202 pounds, Stevenson is the big physical cornerback that Diaz prefers. Some recruiting experts have Stevenson moving to safety in college.
