Four players have been vital parts of the Chargers success during the 2018 season. Linebacker Denzel Perryman was leading the Chargers with 51 tackles in 2018 when he was lost for the season with a torn Lateral Collateral Ligament in his knee.

Perryman has had an injury-filled career. He had played in 42 games in four seasons. Perryman has started 35 of those, with five of the seven non-starts coming in his rookie season in 2015.

Kicker Michael Badgley holds numerous Miami scoring and kicking records. He is the Hurricanes all-time leading scorer, the leader in field goals made and attempted and points scored. Badgley was signed after Caleb Sturgis made only nine of 13 field goal attempts and nine of 15 extra point attempts.

Badgley was 15 of 16 on field goal attempts and 27 for 28 on extra points in ten games this season. He finished fifth among kickers with at least 15 field goal attempts in percentage.

Wide receiver Travis Benjamin is one of the most versatile players in the NFL. Benjamin had seven carries for 41 yards and 12 receptions for 186 yards and a touchdown in 2018. He was clutch on the Chargers game-winning drive in Kansas City last month. Benjamin had two receptions for 57 yards.
