Miami football fanbase and Media energized by Manny Diaz

Diaz taking over for Richt might propel the Miami football program into the modern era in numerous ways. He is active on social media and his hiring of Dan Enos as the Hurricanes new Offensive Coordinator will give Miami a more modern offense. Richt was insistent on running the antiquated pro-style offense.

Diaz has also had fun with the transfer portal. Any time a decision by a player seems to be imminent Diaz has posted cryptic tweets essentially annoucing the player’s decision without making it official. Diaz’s best and most cryptic tweet came before the announcement that Jeff Thomas was returning to Miami.

Diaz posted a GIF of the late musician and performer Prince with four fingers held up to signify Thomas’ number. With less than two weeks remaining until National Signing Day and Miami persuing Phillips and Hill expect more cryptic tweets from Diaz.

This offseason almost literally from the moment the 2018 season ended has been one of the most fun for Miami Football fans and the media that covers them. With Diaz in his dream job, this could definitely be the new Miami. Diaz has created a fun environment for Hurricanes fans on social media.

Fans and the media have been on the edge of their proverbial social media seats awaiting who will join the Miami Football program next or what Diaz has to say. The perpetual question is, is the U back? From a standpoint of being relevant, Diaz has definitely accomplished that.
