The Miami football program received a lot of criticism for their 30 something ranked class that the Hurricanes signed in December. The potential of flipping Cardinal Gibbons four-star defensive end Khris Bogle could change that drastically.

Manny Diaz and his coaching staff have done an exceptional job in just over a month adding to the Miami football roster. The Hurricanes have added six players via transfer, four since Diaz took over on December 30. Miami hopes to add more players via the transfer portal and add to their Surge ’19 recruiting class.

There are many players the Miami football program are pursuing as transfers and in the Class of 2019 according to the Miami Herald’s Barry Jackson. One of the biggest High School Seniors Miami is hoping to sign is currently committed to Alabama.

Four-star Defensive end  Khris Bogle from Cardinal Gibbons in Fort Lauderdale would be one of the top signees in Surge ’19 if he decides to flip to the Miami football program.

According to Jackson, all the main recruiters at Alabama involved in securing Bogle’s commitment to the Crimson Tide are no longer in Tuscaloosa. That includes former Miami and Alabama Defensive Line Coach Craig Kuligowski. The Herald’s David Wilson spoke to Bogle’s Coach at Cardinal Gibbons, Matt DeBuc.

DeBuc told Wilson that Bogle was upset with the departures of Kuligowski and Alabama Defensive Coordinator Tosh Lupoi who left to become the Defensive Line Coach with the Cleveland Browns. Wilson quoted DeBuc in Friday’s Herald.

DeBuc was asked if Bogle was disappointed with the departures of Kuligowski and Lupoi.

"“I’d say so. Like we said, It’s about relationships…That opens things up.”"

Bogle committed to Alabama on January 5 at the Army High School All-America Game. That was before the mass exodus of the Crimson Tide’s Defensive Staff.

Jackson reported that Bogle is expected to flip. The battle is expected to come down to Miami and Florida. Eighty-eight percent of the 247Sports 26 prognosticators expect Bogle to sign with Miami on Wednesday. Bogle would be an important signee for the Surge ’19 Class.

Bogle, wide receiver Jeremiah Payton and defensive end Jahfari Harvey would be the three highest rated recruits in the Hurricanes Surge ’19 Class if Bogle does decide to flip to the Hurricanes. Jackson stated that Florida

“looms as a serious challenger.”

It’s always tough to predict what recruits are going to do. Bogle was originally projected to Miami before he committed to Alabama. Bogle visited Florida last weekend and took a second official visit with the Hurricanes this past weekend. He was allowed a second official visit with Miami because of the coaching change.

Next. Miami football Surge '19 recruiting class is not screwed. dark

Diaz and Defensive Line Coach Jess Simpson have been pushing hard for Bogle. Now all Miami can do is wait about 72 hours to see what Bogle’s decision will be.
