Former Miami Hurricanes running back Travis Homer was the first of six Miami football alums to compete in the NFL Combine on Thursday in Indianapolis.
The scouting reports on Travis Homer pre-NFL Combine have been mostly positive. Homer’s success in college covering kicks and pass blocking give him with intangibles most NFL teams are looking for. He was the first of six Miami Hurricanes alums to take part in the NFL combine this week.
Per Sports Illustrated, Homer was part of the first group of “Kickers, special teamers, Offensive linemen and Running backs that began “registration, interviews and exams on Tuesday”
That same group went through “Wonderlic (test/exam), work(ed) out on bench press and interviews on Thursday. They will finish up Friday by participating in field drills.
Yahoo Senior NFL Reporter Charles Robinson reported on Thursday via Twitter that Homer measured “5-10 3/8, 201 pounds. The remainder of his measurements were: Hand: 10, Arm: 31 4/8 and a Wingspan of 75 4/8.” Homer is solidly built for a running back and special teamer. The speed and agility drills are Friday.
James Layton of RedZone Insider is reporting that Homer has met with a few teams in Indianapolis this week. That includes the Super Bowl LII Champion Philadelphia Eagles and the New York Jets.

Roster Watch who has 24,500 followers on Twitter and a radio show on SiriusXM reported that Homer did 17 reps on the bench press. That is fourth among the six running backs and fullbacks they listed.
Four of the six Miami Hurricanes alums will compete in various groups at the NFL Combine on Friday. Safeties Jaquan Johnson and Sheldrick Redwine and cornerback Michael Jackson will begin their NFL Journey by going through registration, interviews and exams. Homer goes through the field drills on Friday.
Defensive end Joe Jackson and defensive tackle Gerald Willis went through registration, interviews and exams on Thursday. They will have Friday off before doing the bench press, Wonderlic and speaking with (the) media on Saturday. The NFL Combine continues through Monday when the DBs go through field drills.
