The Women’s Miami basketball team will conclude their special regular season when they play at number 10 North Carolina State on Sunday.

After Sunday the Miami Basketball Women will get ready for the ACC Tournament. The Hurricanes have a double-bye through the first two rounds. The tournament begins on Wednesday in Greensboro. Miami will not play until Friday.

Sunday’s game with the Wolfpack will determine who finishes with the third seed going into next weekend. Miami is currently 12-3 in the ACC with North Carolina State a game behind them.

The Wolfpack could still finish in a tie with Syracuse with a loss and an Orange win. The Wolfpack own the tiebreaker after defeating Cuse earlier this season.

Miami had an outstanding February. The Hurricanes finished the month 6-1. Three of those wins were over number four Notre Dame and number 22/20 Florida State at home and at number two Louisville.

Miami is led by the outstanding post duo of Senior Emese Hof and Junior Beatrice Mompremier. Mompremier leads the Hurricanes with 16.6 points per game and 11.8 rebounds. Hof is second in both categories at 13.9 and 8.3. She leads Miami with 63 blocks.

Miami has owned North Carolina State recently. The Hurricanes have won 11 of the last 13 and 10 of the last 11 against the Wolfpack.

Miami won their Senior night game on Thursday against Georgia Tech. Mompremier was dominant with 22 points, 16 rebounds and four blocks. Hof and Khalia Prather were honored.

NC State enters Sunday’s regular-season finale with a 24-4 overall record and is 11-4 in the ACC. They will be either the third or fourth seed in next week’s ACC Tournament.

Miami still has a chance to capture a share of the ACC regular-season title and the potential to get a higher seed in the conference tournament. To get a share of the title Miami needs both Notre Dame and Louisville to lose on Sunday and the Hurricanes need to win.
